Get Puck In™ Filipino Style Spaghetti (Auntie Mags Inspired)
Creamy, sweet, savory made easy
The Story
Just like Filipino adobo, everyone makes Filipino spaghetti a little different. I love the Jollibee version but my favorite has always been my aunt’s.
Her spaghetti was perfectly balanced. Not just sweet, but creamy from the cheeses, and salty from the hot dogs and black olives (don’t knock it till you try it). It is one of those dishes tied to family, comfort, and memories.
New year, feeling nostalgic, I wanted to recreate that feeling but faster, using what I had at home.
I started with my Get Puck In™ BBQ Puck for that built in banana ketchup sweetness, then adjusted from there. More tomato, a little fruit sweetness, and finished with cheese and milk.
It came out so close to hers.
This recipe is about reconnecting with your food memory. Adjust it and make it yours.
